I%26#39;m looking to find a nice hotel - 4/5 star - for a ';romantic'; 4 night getaway in New york- i would like it to be close to shopping / theatre / etc, in the ';middle'; of the action....

Can someone recommend some nice hotels?

Then there are some that are closer to trendy nightlife- whatever kind of nightlife you are into. There are hotels that are closer to specific clubs, or the the Lower East Side, which is hopping at night. What is your idea of action?

The Westin on 8th and 43rd is very nice, but I%26#39;m not sure if I%26#39;d classify it as romantic.

It%26#39;s very modern, and the rooms are a pretty good size, with wonderfully comfy beds and nice furnishings. The rooms are a bit on the noisy side, but the location is great, close to the theatre and times square, and plenty of shopping.
