Stewart International to Manhattan?

Hoping to avoid renting a car, is the train the best way?

Stewart International to Manhattan?

Compared to walking? Yes. Keep in mind, though, that you still need to get to the train. This can be done a number of ways, including taxi, bus, and ferry.

Oy, ya%26#39;ll need a sticky on this.

Lilac...great rates from skybus from Columbus. Do a word search...the little empty box above these posts, not the one in green on left. Lots of discussions on this, options, routes, etc. recently.

Lilacgirl,

If you do a search on this forum for Stewart Airport you will find plenty of info about getting to the train and into the city. This subject has been discussed on this forum many times since Skybus started flying there.

I%26#39;m actually taking this route in May and plan to use Leprechaun Lines shuttle bus from the airport to the MetroNorth train station, which takes you right into Grand Central. Check out leprechanunlines.com for weekday schedules. They just announced they have begun wknd shuttle service but their site does not list this yet, at least not when I last checked.

Of course getting a taxi might be a little easier than taking a bus to the station if you can%26#39;t catch the shuttle at the scheduled times. Have fun!

Lilacgirl and anyone else interested...........Leprechaun Lines now has their wknd service schedule posted on their site at leprechaunlines.com. It says ';effective March 1-30'; however so I%26#39;m not sure if the times will change after then.
