carmel car service

Hello,

I%26#39;ve never used a car service in NY but I believe there have been quite a few people complaining about this company on the forum. You may want to search ';Carmel car service'; in the box above the forum and see what others have said before committing to them.

What airport are you coming into? Have you considered the subway or train to get into Manhattan? It%26#39;s very easy and cheap!

Book now for pickup. When you pay there is often a discount coupon for your return trip. When you call to book your return trip tell them about the coupon and they will give you a code to validate it.

I just booked a car through Limores.com for tomorrow, I know there have been a few topics on this in the past, and Carmel does seem to get a bad rap so I steered clear of them.

Limores.com was great and affordable, and I did see that you can book both trips on thier web or call an agent to set it up for you.

After my terrible experience with Carmel I wouldn%26#39;t use them again if they paid me.

I booked a stretch limo to collect me and my husband from the aiport on our trip to NY for Christmas %26amp; New Year 2006/2007 that we had planned for 18 months. Not only did I have to ring the company about 6 times when we arrived, they also sent the wrong car - an SUV that they claimed was the same as a stretch limo only bigger!

I%26#39;ve been advised that Strussers Limo are a pretty reliable company.

Same for me. Carmel doesn%26#39;t answer emails, nor do they return phone calls to the non-toll-free Customer (non) Service number.

Forget Carmel Car Service. Take it from a local who has been lured into to trying to use Carmel because it sends out nice discount coupons. It%26#39;s unreliable. Carmel stood me up on an early morning pick up to the airport and almost caused me to miss my place. I%26#39;ve heard more than a few similar horror stories about Carmel. Pat in NYC

Try dial7.com Getting better reviews these days.

I%26#39;m glad to hear I wasn%26#39;t the only person Carmel stood up -- I thought it was because I reserved a car during UN General Assembly -- but when I called to find out what happened to the car, I was told they decided to cancel my reservation, no explanation! They had my cell # %26amp; never told me about it... I find the best is to get a taxi from the airport into Manhattan %26amp; arrange car service for the trip to the airport -- but not Carmel!
