New York City Bus Tours?

Does anyone know which of the bus tours are best? Or are they all a waste of money? Have read several conflicting reviews and don%26#39;t know what to do?

I can only speak for one tour company as that%26#39;s all I%26#39;ve been on, and it was fabulous! It was NY Party Shuttle. Hubby and I did the 3 hour Night Light tour, would have loved to have done the day tour but time did not allow.

It was great though because we had the days for other stuff and got a good overview of Manhattan our first night there which helped orient us to the city.

Joanna our guide was excellent, and I%26#39;ve heard good things about other guides as well.

Next time we will definitely take one of the day tours.

The shuttles are smaller than the big buses, they are climate controlled (it was bitterly cold the night we went but nice and toasty inside the shuttle) and a/c in the warm months.

I%26#39;m sure others will comment on the red and blue hop-on/hop-off buses....but the Party Shuttle has my vote!

I enjoyed the GrayLine hop on hop off tour , but didn%26#39;t actually do any hopping on or off, just stayed on the loops from start to finish. The Brooklyn loop and night tour were particularly good. It was July when I did them so sitting up top was lovely and the guides we had were good too.

We had a 48 hour pass that included the uptown,downtown, Brooklyn and night tour. We did the uptown tour on a different day to the downtown--each of those loops took about 2 and a half hours each,the Brooklyn and night tours were a little less if I remember correctly. It%26#39;s a few years ago now so the memory plays tricks..

Just returned first time to new york.

We did the New York party Shuttle Tour 5 1/2 hours,we booked prior.it was excellent.拢30 $60,worth every penny.tour guide was excellent.

we did only just found the pick up point as the bus was on the corner of 7th avenue,cant remember the exact street but they will tell you if you book,but we only just found the bus as it was parked on the corner at the traffic light(crossing).set off in good time to find it.

I would reccomed this to anyone,we seen all sorts from central park to ground zero(9/11),Statten isalnd ferry,views were excellent of SOL.

P.s if you dont book prior there are people selling City tours on the streets,so dont worry too mcuh.
