Hi all, in all your opinions which is the hippest restaurant at the moment in NYC, I was thinking of going to the Mercer kitchen but apparantly its not as hip as it used to be, not to bothered about type of cuisine just me and grlfriend fancy dining at the coolest place in town, cheers all

The Little Owl

Momofuku Ssam Bar

Sfoglia

Waverly Inn

Waverly Inn is definitely a difficult table to get right now!

Also consider Socialista. It%26#39;s not brand new but new enough that tourists might have a chance at a table.

Mercer Kitchen is great but everyone has been there, numerous times. Worth going but not nearly the most difficult place to get a table.

Too bad about that pesky little Hepatitis-A problem at Socialista - make sure to check the health records of the bar tender before you order. And anyway, how can you have a Marxist themed joint that costs $2 Million??

Just went to Mercer Kitchen on Saturday. It was packed and with a fun atmosphere. I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s the %26#39;hippest%26#39; in town..there are so many places to go in this city and it really depends on the crowd you%26#39;re looking for. Mercer was 30s-40s well dressed, %26#39;hip%26#39; people.

If you go to the Mercer Kitchen, go downstairs! The stairs are directly in front of the door.

Oh, and just down the street at 89 Mercer is Bar 89. Cool, hip atmosphere with great burgers and sandwiches.Also has really cool co-ed bathrooms that will have you talking for quite awhile! Not to be missed!

Butter is also pretty cool
