getting from Newark to New York city

how far away is this?

We are flying into Newark and would like to check out times square, statue of liberty etc...

I%26#39;ve heard parking is ridiculous, so, I assume we should take a train or bus?

There are many options, both in Buses and trains.

The fastest would most likely be to take the NJ Transit train to Penn Station NY then you are only about a 10 minute walk to times square.

Or you can transfer to the A train subway and take it 1

stop to times square.
