Going to a Sabres game in a few weeks, staying in Niagara (Canada) and was wondering if there%26#39;s any decent restaurants walking distance to the arena? I%26#39;ve been a few times, but usually just arrive to park and walk to the arena around 6ish, haven%26#39;t really checked out the area around the HSBC arena.
Restaurants near HSBC Arena?There%26#39;s a subway stop right at the arena, which will give you quick access to any of the restaurants along the subway line. (One of our favorites is the Pearl Street Grill %26amp; Brewery.) There%26#39;s no charge for riding the train in the zone above ground, which includes most of the downtown area of the city.

I think the Pearl Street Grill is within walking distance, if you don%26#39;t mind a bit of a hike. Also, there is a really nice Irish Pub on Mississippi Street (can%26#39;t think of the name) but they imported an actual wooden bar from Ireland. It%26#39;s just east of the Arena and across from parking lots. There%26#39;s also the old standby for heaps of Italian food: Chef%26#39;s, but it gets packed on game nights and you need a reservation. Sort of within walking distance, but definitely a hike. There are lots of photos on the wall of the famous people who%26#39;ve eaten at Chef%26#39;s... sort of amusing. Their number is (716) 856-9187.

I believe the new Irish Pub is Morrisey%26#39;s ...
Either Morrisey%26#39;s or Pearl Street are your best bets. If you are into local authentic Buffalo pub/dives with good grub, the Malamute is very close and has great eats....it busy before games as well...
Well looks like we%26#39;ll stop by Pearl Street Grill, what is a good time to arrive and not have to wait? This will be a Friday before the Sabres game.. is 5pm good or will there be a wait by then?
That should be safe. They run a nice Pregame ';Buffalo Buffet'; with wings, pizza, etc for about $12 to accomodate the crowds. It is a great option.
