Informal dining

Coming to Buffalo for a Springsteen show (!!!) Friday , March 7th. We will be traveling from the Southern Tier of NY and will likely get in around 4-ish. W

We plan to check in to our hotel and then proceed on foot, looking for a bar and a place to eat.Downtown Comfort Suites is where we are staying. Don%26#39;t want fast food but don%26#39;t want gourmet ,either..There is a TGIFridays adjacent to the hotel but I would like to have BUFFALO food and not any old generic junk. Any suggestions?

Show starting time says 7:30 but I have never known his shows to start on time..So, we have a couple of hours to kill

Thanks all

Informal dining

A longtime Buffalo place is Chef%26#39;s for Italian. It is located on Seneca Street about a mile from HSBC arena. Good food, not expensive. Very Casual. Very popular place before events at HSBC, reservations are a must, they are real good at getting you out on time for your event.

If you want Wings head up Main Street to Anchor Bar only about a mile away from your hotel. Will be crowded on Friday evening.

Informal dining

You might also enjoy the Pearl Street Grill %26amp; Brewery, although ditto about being crowded.

You will be staying right around the corner from the Buffalo Visitors Bureau which is located at 617 Main Street, almost next door to the TGIF%26#39;s. If you get there early enough, they will be happy to give you suggestions. There are many restaurants and bars on Chippewa St, with varying prices and menus. You could just take a walk down and find a place you like! Then, walk back to Main St to catch the train down to the Arena, (it%26#39;s free as long as you stay above ground).

Go boss!

Very close by is Laughlin%26#39;s. Franklin and Tupper.

great Buffalo food, ambiance and beer selection. Most likely will be busy but not packed like Pearl or Chefs.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Our son went to Buff State so we have been to the Anchor Bar.

We want to get to the hotel and stay put, since it appears there will be weather so we want something we can walk to and not have to drive. A mile to walk in ';weather'; is too far for me..lol. I wish it were closer because I do like it

Whatever one of your suggestions is the least crowded is probably where we%26#39;ll wind up

Thanks again..and bundle up!

Had a blast in Buffalo..even with all the snow and the fun drive home the next morning

We had an early dinner at Laughlins and were so glad it was recommended. Great food and very nice atmosphere. It was exactly what we were looking for.

The Boss was ...well, the Boss! Awesome show..

Awesome town...Thanks, Again!

Come again.....
