First time to New York. Two separate rooms.

We would like to be within walking district of Broadway/Times Square. We require two separate bedrooms. Sharing is not an option. We would like to keep costs up to $300 per night per room. It is important to us to have a good standard of comfort and cleanliness. We would appreciate help in choosing somewhere suitable bearing in mind that we require two rooms in hotel or apartment.

exact dates you will be here?

makes a BIG difference whether you will get your wish or actually have to share

First time to New York. Two separate rooms.

we will be there April 1st for 5 nights. Thank you for trying to help us. We would like to be near Broadway.

Didn%26#39;t you stay at the Blakely in 2006? How is this a First Time trip?

Interesting catch, LornaD.

How does one have stayed at the Blakely and not have been to NYC before? hmmmmm

So you just want 2 hotel rooms, each for $300/night for a total of $600? Or do these 2 rooms have cost $300/night together? Or do they have to be in the same suite? I%26#39;m confused.

For that matter, do the two rooms have to be in the same hotel?

And do you realize that ';Broadway'; is not the name of a neighborhood, but is instead the name of a street that runs the entire 12-mile length of Manahttan Island and then continues through to Bronx and into Yonkers? When you say that you want to be close to ';Broadway';, or ';Times Square';, are you really trying to say that you want to be within walking distance of a particular theater? And if so, WHICH theater?

I am trying to book for my son who has a Learning Disabilility, he has never been to New York. He will be accompanied by his carer. They are going to see Wicked. Sometimes it is easier just to pretend i am making the booking for myself.

Assuming you mean 2 rooms and taking you literally at ';$300 per room'; the best value I see is the Courtyard Marriot Times Square South for $279/night plus tax each for a king room. That will bring the price to ~ $320/night for each room. I think they may include b/f but not sure. It%26#39;s on the hotel%26#39;s own website.

The Millenium Broadway has a special on travelzoo which is good for some of your nights. If you%26#39;re staying 5 nights, the price averages to $269/night plus tax for each room or ~$308.

I also looked on kayak.com and quikbook.com for hotels in the Times Square area that were under $300 that I would be willing to stay in. None of these prices include tax, so that will add another 15% making most of them slightly above $300. Here%26#39;s what I found:

from kayak

The Roosevelt hotel has rooms for $249-289/night on hotels.com

The Belvedere has rooms for $291 on hotels.com

The Dream is $291 on Orbitz or Cheaptickets

The Hilton Garden Inn Times Square is $299 on hotels.com

The Residence Inn is $299 on the hotel%26#39;s own website.

from quikbook

Holiday Inn Express $274

Flatotel $283

The Residence Inn is an all suite hotel with full kitchens in each room. All the rooms are studio suites (one large room with sitting area). It%26#39;s owned by Marriott and directly across the street from the Courtyard Times Square South.

Is your son an adult? Can he manage in his own room? If not, there aren%26#39;t too many options I can think of with 2 actual bedrooms in the Times Square area.

AKA Times Square is relatively new and we don%26#39;t know too much about it. They have a 2 bedroom suite for $625/night plus tax.

If either the carer or your son can sleep on a sofabed, there are a few options of 1 bedroom suites where one could sleep in the br and the other in the living room including at AKA or the Doubletree Guest Suites Times Square. The same goes for the Blakely. Their one bedrooms have a daybed for 1 in the living room.

Radio City apartments is a budget hotel that has some 1 %26amp; 2 bedroom suites. The Salisbury is another. For a 2 bedroom at the Salisbury, you have to phone.

Thank you nywhiz, you have helped me before. Unfortunatly we did not make our last trip, it had to be cancelled. However, my son is so looking forward to visiting New York and with the information you have given me we will have no difficulty in finding the right hotel. I know they are going to have such a happy time. Thank you once again for all your information.
