Afternoon folks, hope we%26#39;re all well
OK as most of you will know I%26#39;m coming back in December for Xmas/New Year and am looking for something a bit ';different'; to do
I%26#39;ve found these on the Gray line website -
Niagra Falls by air - https:/鈥?/a>
Washington DC by train - https:/鈥?/a>
My question are, has anybody tried these ?? If so are they any good ??
I know I could probably organise it myself but if they are willing to pick me up from my hotel and take me I%26#39;m not going to argue
Or if anybody knows of any other day trips out let me know
Thanks in advance

Niagara Falls at Xmas is probably not a good idea. Weather is very iffy and you could have serious problems with flights. You will also pay a huge premium to go with the tour and you%26#39;re not guaranteed of flying to Buffalo (the closer of the 2 airports) I would save this trip for a visit in warmer weather.
Washington is a nice idea. Again, you can probably do the trip much cheaper if you organize it on your own, but if you like the idea of someone else doing it all for you, it%26#39;s a decent idea. I haven%26#39;t looked at the details of the tour, but you%26#39;d be better to perhaps stay overnight (and Washington hotels are cheaper than NYC ones could actually save you some money).
While it%26#39;s not that far, the NY Botanic Gardens (in the Bronx) has a great Xmas display with trains. You can buy a 1 day ticket on Metro North that includes train and entry to the gardens on the Metro North website. Here%26#39;s a link with train trip options from Metro North

Yeah thanks for that Whizz, you know you see the word ';Niagra'; and think of nothing else, completely forgetting weather and actualy practicalities
Also i think that the falls will be heaving because surely other people will have though it%26#39;s a great aidea to go at Xmas
I know this sounds petty about the Washington trip but I have paid for that night in the Radio City apartments so I don;t really want to spend it somewhere else (tiny tiny point I know), that%26#39;s why the Grey Line appeals to me
Just had a look at the Botantical Gardens and it certainly does sound a load of festive fun, and I mean it is $360 cheaper than Niagra. So that%26#39;s a must IMO.
