we are visiting new york on our way to florida for 3 nights just before xmas there are 5 of us with 3 teenage daughters we need help with a good hotel in a good central position similar to a Marriott standard and how to transfer with luggage and golf clubs from JFK to hotel and back to Newark for flight to Miami

Check Radio City Apartments or the Affinia chain of hotels. They all have suites that would be best for 5. For transportation for 5, check with a car service - dial7.com or carmellimo.com. You will most likely need a minivan for that many with luggage and clubs.

There are a number of good Marriotts in NYC. The Courtyard Marriott Midtown East has some rooms with 2 queen beds and a sofabed that would sleep the 5 of you. There%26#39;s also a Courtyard Times Square south but not sure if their rooms will hold 5.

But you%26#39;d have more room in a 1 bedroom suite though and also a kitchen. In addition to the Affinia.com suite hotels, the Doubletree Guest Suites in Times Square is also a suite hotel that has some suites with 2 double beds in the b/r and a sofabed in the living room.
