Smoking at Seneca

After some tedious research, I am 99% sure that the Seneca is where I will be staying for my bday trip to Niagara in August. However, it seems the biggest (and only) complaint this hotel gets is regarding the smoking. My bf recently quit smoking and we do our best to avoid his temptation. Neither one of us cares for gambling and don%26#39;t plan to spend any time in the casino. Is smoking still likely to be a problem for us or is the problem exclusive to the casino-goers?? Do the restaurants and other areas inside the hotel have smoking sections? Thanks!

The casino should have non-smoking rooms. The restaurants do have non-smoking sections. The actual casino though is not smoke free. The rooms are very nice though. Check with the front desk when you get there and see if there are discounts available if you have a Players Club card (free in the casino). When they first opened I know that you could get a discount if you had one.

My husband and I are non-snokers, and we have stayed at the Seneca Hotel several times. The Hotel is ran by the Seneca Nation so they do not have to follow the New York State Smoking laws. However do not let this sway you from staying at the beautiful hotel.

They do offer no-smoking hotel rooms, and the restaurants also have no-smoking areas. Pipe and Cigar smoking is not allowed in the restaurants at all. While it is obvious that it is a Casino with public smoking, the venelation is top-notch.

I know you said you had no intrest in the casino itself, but if you are tempted there is a non-smoking part of the casino-Turtle Island, I believe it is called, you may want to try your luck!

The only problem with the non-smoking section of the casino is that you have to walk through the smoking section to get there.
