You are exactly right. I apologise. My wife and i are 47. Not in to walking all day. Enjoy good food but not foo foo food like caviar. Love seafood and steaks. Firefighter. So i would like to visit the station closest to our hotel maybe. Not sure about a show, due to time constraints. I have looked into the Blue and the Yellow open top buses. I think just seeing some spots would be sufficient instead of stopping and going in.

Do you know of a photo op spot for Statue of Liberty, without taking the time to actually go out to it. I hope i make some sense. Maybe i should have said veteran instead of professional....Thanks.

The great thing about New york is that you don%26#39;t have to walk all day. The subways and buses go pretty much anywhere you would want to go in Manhattan, and you can usually get a taxi except during heavy rains and shift changes.

New york is better known for clams and oysters than for crab. We also have great fish- the native fish is flounder. I would recommend Blue Water Grill off Union Square Park. Right near the restaurant are two fire stations; one of them was the one serviced by Father Mychal Judge.

The best and cheapest photo op for the SOL is riding on the Staten Island Ferry, which is free.

If I were you, here%26#39;s what I would do-

Arrive and check in

Take N/R/Q to 14th Union Square, take a look at the Greenmarket (open on Wednesday)

Walk over to E. 18th and Broadway and visit the firefighters there

Go back tp the park and rest for a moment

Walk down to 3rd Ave and 13th Street and pay your respects to the firefighters there (that battalion lost more members than any other on 9/11, and we aare very proud of them)

Have an early dinner at Blue Water Grill (make reservations)

Take train or cab down to Staten Island Ferry and take a ride- bring your camera

Go back to Times Square and take the Party Bus (links mentioned by other people in this forum) for the night tour. City Sights is supposed to be good, too.

The next day, I would suggest having a nice steak for brunch maybe- Michael Jordan%26#39;s in Grand Central is nice, and will allow you to do some light sightseeing in the terminal while having places to sit and rest.

Keen%26#39;s is a great steakhouse near your hotel. It%26#39;s pricey but they also have a pub menu in the bar area that%26#39;s less expensive. Steak is something done well here.

Nick %26amp; Steph%26#39;s is another steakhouse that%26#39;s closer (across the street in Penn Plaza) but imo not nearly as good.
