Is there a tour of this building? Is it near Chelsea? Want to have an alternate plan, in case friend comes with me and does not want to do Federal Reserve. Thanks for any help.
Chrysler Building/Chelsea
There is no tour of the CHrysler building. The only portion of the building that is open to the public is the lobby, which is cool, but small. It is not near chelsea (it is across the street from Grand Central on Lex/42nd. You can do a tour of Rockefeller Center or Radio city which are both good tours.

The Federal Reserve Bank is not in, or particularly near, Chelsea either.
the interesting building near Chelsea that gives tours is the Masonic Hall on 23rd just east of 6th Ave. I know nothing about these tours, but they were mentioned in the NY Times in january? so you may be able to find something
