Milford Plaza

Hi

I%26#39;m hoping to go to New York in April (9th to 16th). Been waiting for a decent late hotel deal. Found the Milford Plaza deal which is a Milford Club Room for $189 per night. This seems pretty decent - but there seems to be varying reviews about the hotel.

Is this a decent rate for this time of year and what do folks on here think of the hotel.

Thanks

Martin

Milford Plaza

Sorry to reply to my own post but also got a decent deal on the Flatotel - $285 per night. Another $100 onto the Milford rate but seems to get very good reviews. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Martin

Milford Plaza

Hello mate, never stayed at the milford myself but had a friend who stayed there recently and they had a massive cockroach running in and out of thier room one night, id avoid it myself.

I%26#39;m booked at Milford Plaza next week and will write a report upon my return. My travel agent has booked people in there over the years and they always return so it can%26#39;t be that bad.

I have stayed in the Milford Plaza twice in the last 2 years. It is a big hotel in the theatre district. The lobby is nothing special. They do have a security desk near the elevators and you need to show a room key to enter the elevators. That is a good thing, because the lobby itself is open to the street on 8th Ave and that portion of 8th Ave is a little sketchy at night. The rooms for the price are decent. On my most recent trip, the room had been renovated a bit with a new carpet and decent bahroom fixtures, but other rooms may have older furnishings. I never saw any bugs. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and blankets were clean. I would stay there again because it is difficult to find a hotel in midtown at a better price.

Most of the reviews I have read on this Website about the Milford have been negative. I wouldn%26#39;t stay there, although I suppose the Club Rooms might be better than the standard rooms. But check the review page, I haven%26#39;t looked at it lately so maybe things have improved.

Hi i am also staying here this thursday, i posted the same query and got a few positive responses!!

Ill let you know how we get on next week!!

sorry heres the link, varied reviews but people have different standards i suppose!!!

I think you can find something better than the Mildew Plaza for less than the Flatotel (which is a nice hotel). If you don%26#39;t mind small rooms, there are good rates for 6 Columbus on quikbook.

That is a good rate for a club room. Ive stayed there and payed a lot more for a standard room and i believe you get a few extras with a club room. The location is fantastic, you should just book it . Cheers!(P.S The club rooms are the most recently renovated)

Hi

Just returned from the Milford Plaza, the reviews are true.

The hotel wants updateing, but is cleaned daily, rooms are small, but warm.

The Location is Excellent,You could%26#39;nt get any closer to the centre of Manhatten Times Square.

If this Hotel was updated they could charge the earth due to the location and they would probably be fully booked, through out if they are not already.

The only down fall about our visit was the noise of the generators at the back of the building,i couldnt sleep as there is no double glazed windows(we were on 8th floor at back of Hotel.

If you are on a tight budget and not too materialistic hotel is excellent.

Broadway is on the door step and Times Square is down one street.
