Comfort Inn--Times Square

Has anyone stayed at the new Comfort Inn Times Square (305 West 39th Street)recently? I read good reviews earlier but am still hesitant since it is so economical.

looks like a winner for the price

would definitely recommend the Comfort Inn on 39th - It is across from the Port Authority, a couple of blocks from Time Square - very convenient. Hotel is new, a little odd looking - 20 floors tall but only 4 rooms on each floor, not the prettiest street - but fine/safe, room was clean, comfortable beds, free breakfast (even homemade waffles), friendly staff and an excellent price for NYC ($159). I stayed here two nights with my daughter and her friend (both 14) and we had a great time. The rooms are small - but sufficient. We had a good view from our room. While this is not a fancy hotel by any means - it was a perfect ';home base'; and a nice place to sleep. We will stay there again.

We have also reserved this hotel for June 2008 based on the reviews. It does sound too good to be true - brand new hotel, convenient, clean and a budget price to top it off. Please post your review after you stay as I%26#39;d be curious to know if you you recommend it. We have a few months before we need to cancel if we decide not to stay there. We are also considering the Red Roof Manhattan which also has reasonable rates, and the Red Roof might be a bit larger. We expect the rooms to be small no matter where we stay - but there will be 4 of us in one room - good thing we like each other!
