On 51st and Park Avenue, there is a store called SYMS. It has a lot in there, but you really have to dig, but there are gems.

You can get a burberry suit for $300.

If you have the time, you should venture out to woodbury common. Thats a factory outlet which you can reach by bus. Its well worth it.

I personally find a lot of great deals at Filene%26#39;s Basement. Great store that has 3 locations in Manhattan - there is one at 2222 Broadway (at 79th Street) 620 Avenue of the America%26#39;s (around 17th Street) and 4 Union Square South.

I personally recommned the Union Square location - its the biggest and the best. There are 4 floors of shopping and they have huge windows where you can take in a great view of UNION SQUARE!!

A friend of mine swears by T.J. Maxx, located in the same building as the downtown (6th Avenue) Filene%26#39;s. Same deal as most of the other stores: you have to dig -- you have to really be in the mood to pick through everything in most of these types of stores to find maybe one or two keepers!
