Where can I get the free route map (include attraction, restaurant.etc)of Manhattan Island area when I arrive in NYC? Time Square Alliance could get it what I need?
Otherwise, can I do the same thing for subway map in every metro station?

The visitors Centre in Times Sq has many booklets/brochures/pamphlets that have maps of nearly everything in and around manhattan. Also ask you concierge if you have any queries about anything.

You can get a free subway map from any booth attendant at any subway station that has a manned booth.
The best free maps are from the Not For Tourists website. Reigster for free and then print them out as often as you want!!

The free subway maps we have do not show dining nor all the attractions. Not only that, it is woefully not-to-scale. It%26#39;s a system reference map, not a tourism map.
In fact, the Manhattan bus maps (and all the borough bus maps) are way better for tourism because they are to scale, and show both subway and bus routes. But again, no dining, etc.
There are so many gazillions of restaurants that there is no way to show them all.
