Boat trip to see Statue Of Liberty

Hi. Any advice on which boat tour we could book for a short Sunday morning sightseeing trip (April 20th) from the downtown (Battery Park) area, just out to the Statue of Liberty. Won%26#39;t have time to go as far as Ellis Island this time.

Did you want to get off on Liberty Island and look at the statue? If so, you can only get the one ferry out there, which stops at Ellis Island on the way back to Manhattan (though you don%26#39;t have to get off there):

If you don%26#39;t want to get off, I%26#39;d recommend the Staten Island Ferry. It%26#39;s free and takes an hour (1/2 hour to Staten Is and back).

The NY water taxi does a tour at 10:30am on a Sun. morn. for $20/person as another option.

If you decide to take the SI free ferry, check the schedule. I think on Sun. morning they only have 1 boat an hour.

Thankyou for the replies on this query.

I did actually check out the %26#39;sticky%26#39; first but some of the advertisers mentioned don%26#39;t run their tours in April.

For info,I had a reply from ny.waterways.com to say that at present their short boat tours starting at Pier A (Battery park end) are all temporarily suspended. I had hoped to book the %26#39;Lady Liberty tour%26#39;.They are only doing the 90minute cruise at present.

So we will probably now go for the nywatertaxi tour, thanks for the link.
