Any opinions on this restauarant? Thanks.

Trattoria dell%26#39;Arte, on Seventh Avenue is fine, certainly not fantastic. Its been around quite awhile, which says something. If you are in that neighborhood, or want to go pre or post-theatre, then it is a good choice. Otherwise, if you want great Italian food, there is better in NYC. If you do head there, however, they are famous for their antipasto bar (huge spread, including an option with much shellfish). They have a very good veal parmesan also and, I believe (if I remember correctly), some good thin crust pizzas. Other dishes I was decidedly less impressed with, though this was a number of years ago. The place gets very crowded and is a good option to take out of towners.
Have fun.

Thanks.
I go there pretty frequently for business lunches, and I think that%26#39;s pretty much the best (and maybe only) reason to go to Trattoria Dell%26#39;Arte. Their pasta is fine and the lobster salad is better than most, but it is nothing I would go out of my way for.
I%26#39;m crazy about their artichokes! But, as already noted, the place gets very crowded and is very noisy. It%26#39;s a good choice if you%26#39;re headed to Carnegie Hall, which is across the street. And it%26#39;s owned by the same group as Redeye Grill, which is next door and is a good seafood restaurant.
The veal CHOP parmigiana is huge and very very good and I love their pizza and the artichokes.
Thanks nywiz and others.
