A friend of mine would love to stay in Manhattan for one month, in July. What would be a decently priced form of accommodation? B%26amp;B or renting an apartment?
She is a lone woman, and around her forties and used to comfortable life, so I would imagine she does not want to stay in any kind of hell hole. And the area could be Soho, Greenwich village etc, and area where she can linger and enjoy her white wine and latte without the hustle and bustle of Time Square sort of tourist traps.
Any sort of information would be helpful.
a month in manhattan
I%26#39;m not sure if you%26#39;re asking what kind of place to look for or a price.
Oakwood.com and furnishedquarters.com are 2 cos. that would have monthly apartment rentals. Whether they%26#39;d be in the areas you want, I don%26#39;t know. I would add the upper east or west sides as location options. She could probably find something privately perhaps from someone who%26#39;s traveling, but that%26#39;s a more complicated process to make sure it%26#39;s legitimate and legal. vrbo.com and craigslist.com are sites for that.
There are quite a few b %26amp; b%26#39;s that rent what are like apartments that might be available for a month at a time. But since they normally get at least $200/night on shorter length rentals, not sure this would be the most cost efficient. Some names

She should not consider wiring anyone money into a bank account. Make sure to do a text search here about apt. scams. There are thousands.
