A month in Manhattan in July

A friend of mine would love to stay in Manhattan for one month, in July. What would be a decently priced form of accommodation? B%26amp;B or renting an apartment?

She is a lone woman, and around her forties and used to comfortable life, so I would imagine she does not want to stay in any kind of hell hole. And the area could be Soho, Greenwich village etc, and area where she can linger and enjoy her white wine and latte without the hustle and bustle of Time Square sort of tourist traps.

Any sort of information would be helpful.

You should repost this question on the forum for New York City. This is the forum for New York State, which doesn%26#39;t have nearly as many readers.

In the interim, though, I%26#39;ll say that renting a nice studio apartment in SoHo or the Village for a month will probably cost somewhere around $2000. She might take a look at www.nyhabitat.com to get started.
