Can anybody advise a good place for breakfast on Good Friday, we need to be close to The New York Helmsley which is on 212 East 42nd Street, can we reserve a table as we are on a tight schedule, this would need to be about 8.30am. Thank You.
Breakfast
good friday will be light for regular traffic.
There are tons of starbucks coffee shops breakfast shops delis if you walk 1 or 2 blocks any direction.
Also grand central downstairs has multiple places open. They are all fast service ny style.
If you want to sit down or buffet style they might have something in helmsly, just tell em you are on tight time.
regards,
Breakfast
Thank you for your help, maybe we will go to Grand central.
BHAgirl, if you want a more sit-down restaurant breakfast, Pershing Square is right across the street from Grand Central and is known for their breakfast menu. I%26#39;m sure they take reservations there.
Another take-out option, across from Grand Central, is Cipriani%26#39;s - for breakfast with an Italian slant. And for a fast but eat-in option, there%26#39;s Au Bon Pain, on 3rd Avenue and 40th Street. This is a mostly self-serve place with pastries, rolls, oatmeal, etc, although you can order some hot food like eggs.
I believe the hotel also serves breakfast. Are you looking for some place nice or cheap and cheerful?
Good Friday is not a holiday, and the vast majority of NYC restaurants do not serve breakfast, so your options will be pretty limited if you%26#39;re looking for a sit-down sort of thing.
