Flying with Continental at 9:30am on Fri 11/04/08. According to the website the plane is an older 757 with TV screens overhead as opposed to on back of the seat. Youngest son is very disappointed but a friend of mine seems to think that the early flight on Continental has the TV%26#39;s in the back of the seat and is a 767. Can anybody shed light on this so I can try to avoid earache off my 9 year old?!?!
Continental Airlines - Manchester to Newark
As far as i know all continental planes from Manchester are 757 with the overhead TV screens, they only use the bigger planes on Long haul flights ( i know i thought Europe to the US was long haul, but i asked the steward on our flight, who told me its only on the US- Asian flights they use the 777 etc)the only thing i could suggest is for your son to bring a portable DVD player an a few DVD,S with him, to pass the time, I must say though that if you get the chance book your seats on the left hand side of the plane as the view of Manhattan on approach is brilliant, Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!
Continental Airlines - Manchester to Newark
According to this site: https:/鈥?/a>
the plane is a 757-200. Would suggest noise cancelling headphones!
I have flown with Continental out of LHR, MAN and BHX. Only the London flights have had the seat back TV%26#39;s when I have taken them.
We are flying into Newark from Orlando %26amp; out of Newark to Heathrow.
Comment above has made me think - is there a best side of plane to sit for views of Manhattan in %26amp; out?
Thanks
We flew in to Newark and the view of Manhattan is on the left and on the Right hand side on the way out, its even better at night time!!
Does it not depend on which way the winds are on that day. I%26#39;ve been to Manchester a few times and the planes can come in from different directions?
it does i suppose, however its the chance you take.Did you sort out any thing for the young lad yet?
Will definitely do GCS but am tempted to stay on the buses. Wife and I did subway last time and had bad experience with a beggar so dont fancy repeating it with the kids. Will probably stay above ground but may just use the ordinary buses as opposed to ho/ho.
