Anybody stayed at the Soho Bed and Breakfast?

I work right around the corner from this place and have never noticed it before - a business card by the door bell drew my attention this morning so that%26#39;s why I Googled them and got the attached web site.

It looks pretty interesting, the prices seem good, the pictures look great, and it%26#39;s in a great location (although Crosby between Bleecker and Houston is absolutley devoid of any charm - but within feet/blocks you%26#39;re right back into interesting parts of NYC)

Just wanted to make everyone aware of this ... I have no other interest in this establishment ;-) was just surprised that a B %26amp; B existed in my work neighborhood.

Either Ange or Lou tried to book it. When it was very far in advance, like in the next calendar year, the owner said I don%26#39;t have a calendar for next year yet, call back in 3 months. They forgot to call exactly when he said and then when they called a week or 2 later than agreed, it was already booked.

Yes that was me. I tried to book in July for the following March but the owner did say he didn%26#39;t have a calender for next year but would pencil me in for the week I wanted and to contact him on 1st December. I forgot and contacted him on the 3rd and he had let it go (he was very apologetic and said he%26#39;d forgotten all about me).

I was lucky to have booked a backup so alls well that ends well.

I was really looking forward to staying here but wouldn%26#39;t book it again out of principal! Let us know how you get on if you do stay there.

Most of the promotion he has done up to now has been word-of-mouth among people in the arts, and in Europe. I found some things in French language. There are some positive reviews in some UK-based publications.

He recently had back surgery, so can no longer carry guests%26#39; luggage up the stairs (to both units) as he used to. I think he slowed down a bit leading up to the surgery, and may have lost some bookings at that time as a result.
